Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Conference

Event Description: 

The Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Conference is ADvancing States’ national conference that annually brings together state, federal, and local policymakers as well as leaders who administer, manage, and deliver waiver and other HCBS programs.  The purpose of the HCBS Conference is to share practices and policies that improve state systems delivering long-term services and supports (LTSS) for all ages and abilities.

The 2022 HCBS Conference will be held August 14-18, 2022 in Washington, DC. 

2022 Annual Disability Statistics Conference

Event Description: 
Register today for the 2022 Annual Disability Statistics Conference and State of the Science on Disability Statistics Conference. This two-day hybrid event will review the latest disability statistics and advancements in disability statistic science. It will also share the Annual Disability Statistics Compendium, Annual Disability Statistics Supplement, and State Reports for County-level Data.
 
This event will be held on March 10-11, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. 
 

2021 Symposium: Supporting Older Adults, Caregivers, and People with Disabilities Through Innovative Volunteer Models

Event Description: 
To promote and elevate awareness of the Community Care Corps initiative, and in conjunction with National Family Caregivers Month, USAging is hosting a symposium on November 16th and 17th. Speakers will share information and insights on ways to engage leaders and activate volunteers to participate in innovative models that address the needs of caregivers at the community level. Keynote presentations and panel discussions will feature grantees, researchers and other experts from the Aging Network on caregiving, volunteerism and the value and impact of non-medical assistance.

On Aging 2022

Event Description: 
ASA's On Aging 2022 Conference is now open for registration. The theme of On Aging 2022 is Advancing Economic Security. Aging professionals are encouraged to attend the conference to learn from keynotes, general sessions, workshops, and special events focused on ASA's five priority areas: justice and equity, innovation and social impact, health and well-being, economic security, and ageism and culture.
 
On Aging 2022 will be held in New Orleans, LA, April 11 to 14, 2022.
 

2021 National Convention

Event Description: 
The Arc has announced virtual registration for the upcoming 2021 National Convention in September. The event will include sessions on strategic crisis response, remote supports, mental health struggles, and diversity and inclusion. Registration is now available with updated pricing and the option for one-day attendance.
 
The event will be held on September 27–29, 2021.
 

2021 Virtual National Aging and Law Conference

Event Description: 
Registration is open for the American Bar Association Commission on Law & Aging’s 2021 Virtual National Aging and Law Conference (NALC). This year's conference will discuss topics of housing, home and community based services, Medicare and Medicaid, diversity and equity in legal services, reforming guardianship practices, and ethics. Allison Barkoff, Acting Administrator and Assistant Secretary for Aging at the Administration for Community Living, along with other national leaders will be speaking on current trends in law and aging.
