AIRS Annual Conference and National Aging and Disability Symposium
The National I&R Support Center coordinates a national training event – the National Aging and Disability Symposium – at the annual AIRS I&R Training and Education Conference. The Symposium is convened by the Support Center in partnership with AIRS and in collaboration with the U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL), the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a), and the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL). The Symposium offers a pre-conference National I&R/A Summit for aging and disability professionals, a full complement of workshops throughout the conference, and an Aging and Disability Luncheon. It is designed to assist I&R professionals stay apprised of the latest developments in aging and disability I&R/A programs. Conference workshops feature presentations by national, state, and local professionals from across the country discussing initiatives and innovations in aging and disability I&R/A programs.
