Detroit Disability Power has annouced Community Conversations, a five-event series about the intersections of ableism, racism, and ageism. The second event, Growing up with a Disability, will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

    Annual Conference and Tradeshow of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging

    Event Description: 
    The n4a Annual Conference and Tradeshow will gather professionals in the field of aging to learn about and discuss innovation, current issues, best practices, and new programs in the field. Topics covered at the conference will include: advocacy for older adults, best practices to improve health outcomes for older adults, developing livable communities for all ages, elder justice, and more. This will be a virtual event.

    Role of Decision Supports in Elder Abuse Prevention and Recovery

    Event Description: 
    This webinar will cover strategies to determine necessary decision supports for older adults who have experienced abuse who do not have a support network and may need assistance with building and maintaining a support network. Attendees will learn how to identify person-centered decision supports, use strategies to identify supports and create a support network, and ensure accountability and oversight.

    Advancing Medicare and Medicaid Integration: A New Funding Opportunity for States to Support Dual-Eligible Populations

    The Center for Health Care Strategies, with support from Arnold Ventures, has created a new national program to provide funding to states to improve their Medicare and Medicaid Integration. The goal of the program is to assist in the design of integrated models and to improve access and service delivery for dual eligible individuals.   An informational webinar on the initiative and funding application process will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
