Abuse in Later Life on the Radar: Funding a Collaborative Approach for the Support of Older Survivors

Event Description: 

The National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL) is hosting a webinar to raise awareness of abuse in later life and share information about the Office on Violence Against Women's (OVW) grant program for supporting communities in addressing this issue. The OVW's Training and Services to End Abuse in Later Life Program recognizes the importance of intentional collaboration between multidisciplinary partners to provide effective services and support to older survivors.

2023 Convening: Strategies to Advance Greater Elder Safety

Event Description: 

Futures Without Violence is hosting a convening program on emerging strategies for preventing and responding to elder abuse outside the legal system in early June. The program will explore key topics such as restorative justice, economic justice, legal system off-ramps, and community partnerships. Participants will learn to define and apply models of restorative justice, economic justice, and survivor-defined elder justice to their respective programs and work.

National and Local Perspectives on Person-Centered Supports in Older Adult Nutrition Programs and Service Delivery
