Sepsis is the body’s overwhelming and life-threatening response to infection, which can lead to tissue damage, limb loss, organ failure, and even death. This session is designed for clinicians and people affected by limb loss who would like to learn more about the connection between sepsis, prevention and limb loss.

In recognition of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Community Living (ACL), are co-hosting a webinar for domestic and sexual violence service providers and community-based programs serving persons with disabilities. National conversations often fail to include survivors with disabilities, even though people with disabilities experience sexual violence at rates more than three times higher than people without disabilities.

This presentation will identify the unique concerns and needs of people with dementia, and provide tips on how to assist in addressing these needs. It will also describe challenges of using Meals on Wheels for people with dementia.
