Accessing Social Security Administration Services for LEP Individuals

Individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) are protected by anti discrimination laws that guarantee their access to federal agencies and programs. This webinar will provide an overview of the federal authorities governing language access for LEP individuals, discuss general resources for accessing language assistance services throughout the federal government, and explain how to advocate for LEP individuals. Presenters will focus specifically on the language assistance services provided  by the Social Security Administration.

Event Description: 

This webinar looks at a case study on how the city of Boise, Idaho shares housing and homelessness data with healthcare systems and other agencies to identify people for interventions and track outcomes. Boise used this data to identify patterns and adopt the Frequent Users Systems Engagement (FUSE) initiative to provide affordable supportive housing with wraparound support services to stabilize individuals in the community.

State Systems and Resources for People Living With Traumatic Brain Injury

The effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI) can lead individuals living with TBI and their families to seek information and assistance for a variety of needs.
