This two-part webinar series will discuss six ACL grant projects which focused on innovative and promising practices in nutrition. Participants will learn about these projects and the challenges and lessons learned. Presenters will also discuss the potential for replicating their projects in other communities.

Living with COVID-19 Webinar: A Guide for Volunteer Programs

Event Description: 

This webinar will discuss how COVID-19 may impact volunteers and volunteer programs. The webinar will focus primarily on SMP, SHIP, and MIPPA programs. During the webinar, participants will learn how to develop a continuity plan and effectively communicate operational changes to volunteers.  Other topics will include ACL expectations, maintaining connections to former volunteers, coping with shortages, and moving training online.

Supporting LGBT Adults Living with Dementia

Event Description: 

This webinar will discuss how organizations can better design services to support LGBT individuals with dementia. Participants will learn about dementia risk factors for LGBT older adults, best practices for LGBT dementia care, and LGBT dementia resources. This webinar will also discuss the work of the San Francisco LGBT Dementia Care Project, an innovative project with the goal of increasing access to dementia-capable care for the LGBT community.
