Indiana has made key policy changes at a state and agency level that increase the availability of data sharing across agencies. The Recovery Supports Workgroup of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) uses this data to evaluate gaps in key recovery supports, to make recommendations, and track recovery and resilience outcomes.

    Join Megan Sanders from the University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration as she summarizes the results of a 12-month follow-up survey on the direct support workforce and their experiences supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the COVID-19.
     

    Race, Disability, Organizational Culture, and Social Change: Promising Practices from Centers for Independent Living

    Event Description: 

    This session will explore promising practices in cultivating a welcoming and equitable culture, designed to include people of color with disabilities who are both consumers of services and staff offering support. Presenters represent various Centers for Independent Living. All panelists are multiply marginalized people with disabilities who are recognized for their efforts to advocate for equity in both the provision of supports and the leadership of staff.

     

    2021 Elder Justice Training

    Event Description: 
    Join the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services for the annual Elder Justice Training on November 5, 2021. Speakers will address issues facing older adults today including housing, telehealth issues, elder abuse, estate planning, fraud and more. This training has been approved for 6.25 CLEs for attorneys in Nebraska as well as 6.7 CEUs for nurses in Nebraska. If you are not located in Nebraska please reach out to your licensing board to confirm if you can receive credit.
