Featuring Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, Assistant Secretary for Disability Employment Policy Taryn Williams and other department leaders, the event will explore the Department of Labor’s efforts to deliver on the promise of the ADA through policies and programs for workers and job seekers with disabilities. CART captioning and ASL interpreter will be available.

The Administrator of CMS, Chiquita Brooks-LaSure will provide updates on CMS' accomplishments and progress towards advancing CMS' strategic plan. Consumer Voice and representatives from CMS will be providing an overview of CMS's new Phase 3 guidance for nursing homes. The new guidance was released on June 29, 2022, and is the result of CMS's 2016 revisions to the Medicare Requirements for Participation for Nursing Homes. The guidance is required to be followed by state oversight agencies when surveying and assessing nursing home compliance with the federal regulations.

Financial exploitation cases involve undue influence, which occurs when a third party uses their role and power to exploit someone and gain control over the decision-making of that person and often impacts people with cognitive impairments or those who are isolated.

The Reeve Foundation's National Paralysis Resource Center is hosting a panel discussion with four men living with paralysis to share their experiences and perspectives on dating. Speakers will discuss their thoughts on the topics of insecurities, confidence, intimacy, and social engagement.
