Event Description: 
Featuring Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, Assistant Secretary for Disability Employment Policy Taryn Williams and other department leaders, the event will explore the Department of Labor’s efforts to deliver on the promise of the ADA through policies and programs for workers and job seekers with disabilities. CART captioning and ASL interpreter will be available.

The Administrator of CMS, Chiquita Brooks-LaSure will provide updates on CMS' accomplishments and progress towards advancing CMS' strategic plan. An Overview of CMS's New Phase 3 Nursing Home Guidance

Consumer Voice and representatives from CMS will be providing an overview of CMS's new Phase 3 guidance for nursing homes. The new guidance was released on June 29, 2022, and is the result of CMS's 2016 revisions to the Medicare Requirements for Participation for Nursing Homes. The guidance is required to be followed by state oversight agencies when surveying and assessing nursing home compliance with the federal regulations.
