Strengthening Tribal Relations to Build Capacity for Culturally Responsive HCBS

CMS will hold a webinar on how to strengthen relationships with tribal nations to build capacity for developing and delivering culturally responsive home- and community-based services.

HCBS are most effective when they reflect the cultural values, traditions, and priorities of the communities served. During this webinar, speakers from the Minnesota Department of Human Services’ Aging and Disability Services Administration’s Tribal Collective and its work to strengthen tribal engagement across HCBS initiatives. Attendees will explore strategies for developing and sustaining relationships with tribal nations and identify promising practices that promote culturally responsive HCBS.
