The National Center on Law & Elder Rights (NCLER) is organizing a webinar titled "Promoting Autonomy for Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities through Decisional and Other Supports." This training session will explore strategies for identifying and implementing various forms of support for individuals who require assistance in specific areas, with a focus on maximizing autonomy while minimizing interference with decision-making authority. The webinar will cover a wide range of support mechanisms, both formal and informal, legal and non-legal, encompassing supported decision-making, informal supports, social supports, financial supports, and healthcare supports, with presenters offering practical examples to guide advocates in assisting their clients to select the most suitable supports and trusted supporters.
