The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is hosting an upcoming briefing to highlight the Elder Index, an online research tool used to calculate financial adequacy for older adults in specific locales across the country. Developed in collaboration with The University of Boston at Massachusetts and supported by the RRF Foundation for Aging, this briefing aims to advance economic security for older adults from diverse backgrounds, including older adults of color, low-income, women, LGBT, and rural populations. During this webinar, participants will gain insights into policy solutions for improving food security among older adults, explore avenues for modernizing Social Security Income, and discover how to use the Elder Index as an alternative method to assess income insecurity in the United States.
