WEAAD 2023 Webinar: Trauma-Informed Practices to Address Abuse and Build Resilience

Event Description: 

In conjunction with several organizations, the National Center on Elder Abuse is hosting an upcoming webinar for the 2023 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. This session will focus on the importance of a trauma-informed approach in preventing and addressing elder abuse while promoting resilience in older adults. Attendees will hear about the cumulative and complex trauma histories of diverse older adults, explore the connection between trauma and elder abuse, and learn strategies to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed support.
