NCLER is hosting a webinar to discuss how lawyers can be prepared to advocate for the least restrictive alternatives in adult guardianship cases. David Godfrey of the ABA Commission on Law and Aging and Catherine Seal of Kirtland & Seal, LLC will discuss:
- How to protect a client’s rights to due process
- How to utilize alternatives to guardianship/conservatorship
- How to respond when the filing requests more protection than necessary
- Actions lawyer can take to end a guardianship order when it is no longer necessary
This webinar will also include an overview of common due processes concerns in guardianship cases and how to present substantive evidence to advocate for alternatives to guardianship.
