Webinar: Meeting the Evidence-based Requirements of OAA Title IIID

Event Description: 
The Administration for Community Living (ACL) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services are sponsoring a webinar on meeting the evidence-based requirements of Older Americans Act (OAA) Title IIID. This webinar will teach participants about the requirements of the OAA Title IIID and how to meet them. The requirement to use Title IIID dollars for only the highest-level evidence based programs will go into effect nationally on October 1, 2016. Highest-level programs meet the following criteria: Demonstrated through evaluation to be effective for improving health and well being or reducing disease, disability, and/or injury among older adults; proven effective with older adult population, using Experimental or Quasi-Experimental Design; research results published in a peer-reviewed journal; fully translated in one or more community site(s); and includes products for dissemination that are available to the public.There will be presentations from states and AAAs that are meeting the requirements and they will also share promising practices for overcoming challenges.
