The ASTHOConnects Series on Brain Health is designed to inform state and territorial health officials and their staff about the critical role of public health in supporting aging adults. The series focuses on the Healthy Brain Initiative (HBI) State and Local Public Health Partnerships to Address Dementia, The 2018 -2023 Road Map. During this webinar, The CDC’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Healthy Aging Program will present data from the BRFSS Optional Modules on subjective cognitive decline and caregiving.
The National Core Indicators-Aging and Disabilities (NCI-AD™) is an initiative designed to support states in assessing the performance of their publicly-funded long-term services and supports programs and delivery systems in order to improve services for older adults and people with physical disabilities. Data are collected through in-person NCI-AD Adult Consumer Surveys conducted with individuals receiving services, or their proxy if needed. At the end of every annual NCI-AD survey cycle, data from participating states are analyzed and compiled into a comprehensive national report.
