Event Description: 

Justice in Aging will host a webinar titled “Nursing Facility Resident Rights in Medicare “Short Stay” Rehabilitation”. This webinar will present the law and advocacy strategies that can protect residents when their skilled nursing facility stay is shortened. Advocacy strategies will include Medicare appeal processes, eviction defense hearings, public education, and joining forces with therapy professionals. CMS Issues Contract Year 2025 Medicare Advantage and Part D Final Rule (CMS-4205-F)

On April 4, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a final rule that revises the Medicare Advantage (MA) Program, Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Program (Medicare Part D), Medicare Cost Plan Program, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), and Health Information Technology Standards and Implementation Specifications.

The National Center on Law & Elder Rights is holding a training webinar to discuss the options to address financial exploitation by family members including mediation, restorative justice, and other solutions to preserve familial relationships.
