This webinar will highlight recent research from the Community Living Policy Center on promising practices in Managed Long-Term Services and Supports. This event will discuss promising practices and options for states to measure network adequacy of Home and Community Based Services providers. The webinar will also review practices to promote physical and programmatic accessibility of network providers for enrollees with disabilities.  

CBO Partnership Opportunities with Medicare Advantage Plans

Recent policy changes have given community-based organizations (CBOs) greater opportunities to contract with Medicare Advantage (MA) plans to provide services and supports that address the social and behavioral determinants of health. This webinar will provide an overview of these policy changes and describe how these policy changes create opportunities for partnership between CBOs and MA plans.

Falls Prevention for Older Adults

This webinar will provide an overview of the importance of falls assessment and falls prevention for older adults and their caregivers. The webinar will discuss the public health impact of falls and injuries in older adults and educate viewers on health-related factors and environmental factors that can lead to increased risk of falls or injury. Cornell University Disability Status Report Rollout

Event Description: 
Cornell University's Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability will present the findings from the 2017 Disability Status Report. This  webinar will explore data from the recently released 2017 American Community Survey (ACS) related to disability and employment, education, poverty, household income and annual earnings. Key findings from this report include:
  • 37.3% of working-age (21-64) people with disabilities were employed, compared with the 79.4% of people without disabilities.

Following this event, the Annual Disability Statistics Compendium Event on Wednesday, February 13.
