Heirs Property: Legal Strategies to Keep Older Adults in the Family Home
The National Center on Law & Elder Rights (NCLER) is hosting an upcoming training titled “Heirs Property: Legal Strategies to Keep Older Adults in the Family Home.” Many low-income older adults reside in a home they inherited when a family member died. When a property is owned by multiple heirs, or any heir who has not yet filed legal documents to have their name reflected as the record owner, this is referred to as heirs property.
