The Community Care Corps announced a national Request for Proposals (RFP) for innovative local models to provide volunteer nonmedical assistance to help family caregiver, older adults or adults with disabilities to maintain their independence. There will be 18-month grants awarded ranging in size from $30,000 to $200,000. The grants will be awarded to organizations developing, expanding, or refining innovative local models. The grantee organizations will implement their local models assisting Community Care Corps in achieving its goals of increasing the number of community-based volunteer programs available to provide nonmedical assistance while decreasing the number of older adults, persons with disabilities age 18 and older, and family caregivers who need assistance in maintaining independence but are unable to obtain help.
Community Care Corps is hosting an informational webinar on Tuesday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
