Webinar: Updates on Managed Care for Dual Eligibles and Medicare Coordination Programs

Event Description:

The National Center on Law and Elder Rights is hosting a webinar about what has been learned from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) financial alignment demonstrations in 13 states. These demonstrations are intended to improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare spending for dual eligible individuals, those with both Medicare and Medicaid coverage.

This webinar will provide an update on dual eligible demonstrations and discuss early evaluations of the programs. Challenges and innovations since the demonstrations were launched will also be discussed. Following the webinar, participants will better understand the two models being tested in the demonstration, the fully capitated model and the managed fee-for-service model.

Legal service attorneys and aging and disability network professionals who work with dual eligibles are encouraged to attend this webinar. Presenters for this webinar include, Georgia Burke, Directing Attorney, Justice in Aging, and Amber Christ, Senior Staff Attorney, Justice in Aging.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. PT/2:00 p.m. ET.
