The American Society on Aging (ASA) is hosting a webinar for professionals in the field of aging on social media platforms. Social media platforms are changing the way Area Agencies on Aging, health promotion programs, gerontologists, geriatricians, doctoral candidates, students and professionals in aging services communicate. Today, social media offers us a way to directly connect and interact with clients, influencers and policy makers. This web seminar will identify social media platforms, their demographics and offer suggestions on how individuals and their organizations can benefit from connecting to their clients using social media. Presenters for the webinar are Judi Bonilla, Director, Program Innovation for Advocates for Aging and Dr. Carmenza Millan, AARP Office of Community Engagement, Community & Field Advisor, Central Region. The webinar will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET.
