Webinar: Making Elder Justice a Reality: The Federal and Philanthropic Perspectives

Event Description:
The American Society on Aging is hosting a webinar on the federal and philanthropic perspectives of making elder justice a reality. Elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation are silent problems that rob older adults of their dignity, security, and—in some cases—their lives. Up to 5 million older Americans are abused every year, and the annual loss by victims of financial abuse is estimated to be at least $2.6 billion. This webinar will teach attendees more about elder justice and how we can make a difference. Presenters Terry Fulmer, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N., President of the John A Hartford Foundation in New York City and Kathy Greenlee, J.D., Administrator, Administration for Community Living and Assistant Secretary for Aging, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will discuss promising new approaches and how we all can play a role in the solution.
