Topic: Taking WINGS to provide decision-making supports and protection

Learn about Alabama’s Working Interdisciplinary Networks of Guardianship Stakeholders, the Alabama Council for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, and gain access to the free toolkits and videos. Alabama’s court system and protective services stakeholders have developed these materials to deliver information, resources, and tools throughout the legal system and to the public as a means of providing appropriate decision-making supports and protective services to older individuals, persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

Attendees will be provided access to free resources on the provision of alternatives to guardianship and conservatorship; protections if guardianships or conservatorships are awarded, and identifying and addressing abuse and exploitation.

Featured Speakers are a4a (Alabama Association of Area Agencies on Aging) and John Craft, Clinical Associate Professor of Law, Director of Elder Law Clinic, Faulkner University, Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, Montgomery, Alabama.
