Justice in Aging invites aging and disability advocates and aging network professionals to an upcoming webinar titled “Resident Rights in Medicaid-Funded Assisted Living and Group Homes.” This webinar will explore recently implemented federal protections for persons with disabilities living in group homes or other residential facilities. It will cover eviction safeguards, requirements for unrestricted visitor access and round-the-clock food availability, the fundamental right to privacy, access to the local community, and the facility's obligation to accept Medicaid from former private-pay residents. The session will also explore state-specific differences and effective strategies to ensure compliance when facilities disregard or violate these essential resident rights.
This webinar will take place on Thursday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
