Representative Payees: Opportunities to Improve Service Delivery

Event Description: 

The Social Security Advisory Board is hosting a virtual policy forum called Representative Payees: Opportunities to Improve Service Delivery.  During this forum, attendees will learn about an independent study by researchers from the Virginia Tech Center on Gerontology and the American Bar Association Commission on Law and Aging. Panelists will discuss topics including capability determinations, the selection process, training, oversight, and the need for ongoing research and evaluation. The forum will conclude with a panel discussion about the public service implications of a more individualized, supported decision-making model, and how to get there.
