This free webcast training will provide information about federal utility assistance programs, including the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), the new Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), the Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), and additional protections for those with serious illnesses. Attendees will hear from Olivia Wein from the National Consumer Law Center as she discusses how these programs can minimize dangers associated with low access to utilities and ways that advocates can connect older adults to these programs.
