In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month in February, the Connecting Kids to Coverage National Campaign is hosting an upcoming webinar exploring the peace of mind that parents and caregivers can have knowing that comprehensive dental health services – including regular dental check-ups, fillings, x-rays, and fluoride treatments – are covered through Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). During this webinar, experts will discuss the latest data on barriers to dental care and share an overview of the comprehensive oral health benefits Medicaid and CHIP provide. Panelists will highlight the importance of health equity across children’s dental health, discuss the connection between mental health and dental health, offer insights for best practices when connecting with families, and share resources to support outreach and enrollment.
