Examining the Risk of Potentially Preventable Hospitalization in Adults with Congenital and Acquired Disabilities

Event Description:
Adults with pediatric-onset (cerebral palsy/spina bifida (CP/SB)) or acquired disabilities (spinal cord injury (SCI) or multiple sclerosis (MS)) are more likely than those without disabilities to develop medical complications. Join this webinar to learn about this Univerisity of Michigan study that examined risks and protective factors for potentially preventable hospitalizations (PPH).

Attendees will learn how to:
  • Work with administrative claims data and medical codes to identify appropriate case and control groups;
  • Define covariates and outcome measures in claims data;
  • Use various modeling techniques to test hypotheses;
  • Interpret results and develop policy implications.

This webinar will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
