4 Part Webinar Series on Dementia in Older Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Event Description: 

The Third Age Committee, in partnership with the the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center, is hosting a monthly 4-part webinar series on Dementia in Older Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities from January to April 2016. The topics include: Creating Dementia-Capable Spaces Through Sensory Awareness; Creating Dementia-Capable Care Through Awareness of Systems Issues; Behavior is Communication:  Non-pharmacologic Interventions for Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) in Adults with IDD; Pharmacotherapy Considerations in the Treatment of Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). The cost of each webinar is $30 per computer access point or a $90 package deal for all four webinars. The webinars will take place from 1:00p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, January 12, Tuesday, February 23, Tuesday, March 15, and Tuesday, April 5.
