ACL's Commit to Connect is hosting a webinar and sharing resources to address how social isolation and loneliness are risk factors for fraud and exploitation. This webinar will also highlight the annual Eldercare Locator Home for the Holidays campaign which is focusing on avoiding financial scams. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and National Center on Elder Abuse will share information on detecting common scams and highlight resources on staying connected and safe from financial exploitation. An area agency on aging based in Lima, Ohio will also share how they are using art and music to promote social connection and reduce romance scams in their community.
