National Healthy Aging Symposium

Event Description:

The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Trust for America’s Health are hosting the 2024 National Healthy Aging Symposium: Innovation Across the Age-Friendly Ecosystem. ACL’s Alison Barkoff, Kari Benson, and Lori Gerhard will join leaders from across government and the private sector for the conversation. The Symposium will explore successful innovations developed to improve older adult health and well-being and build upon the successful and ongoing collaborations between aging services and public health that began at the first National Healthy Aging Summit and Workshop in 2015. Policymakers, researchers, and professionals from across sectors will share their perspectives on important topics related to healthy aging through panels covering topics such as caregiving, social engagement, housing, transportation, brain health, and the workforce.

The symposium will take place on Thursday, September 26 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
