The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 34th Anniversary!

Event Description:

On July 26th, 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law. This important civil rights law prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. The ADA National Network and individuals, communities, and organizations across the country will be participating in celebrating the anniversary of this landmark civil rights law today.
