The Good Jobs Initiative (GJI): Creating Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities

The LEAD Center is hosting an upcoming webinar highlighting the Good Jobs Initiative (GJI), a U.S. Department of Labor-led program that is focused on improving job quality and creating access to good jobs for all working people, including people with disabilities. Participants will hear from a variety of employers and the people with disabilities they employ in good jobs about their experiences, available supports, and the ways that employees with disabilities have benefitted their businesses.

This webinar will:

  • Provide an overview of Good Jobs Principles and the GJI as a potential source of Competitive Integrated Employment jobs for people with disabilities.

  • Highlight examples of people with disabilities already working in GJI industries. 

  • Explore strategies that can assist employers in benefiting from employees with disabilities in their workforce, including employees with significant disabilities.

  • Feature business leaders who will discuss the contributions of  people with disabilities in their workforce. 

This webinar will take place on Thursday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
