Supporting Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities as They Age

Event Description: 

The number of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) over the age of 60 is steadily increasing. During this webinar, presenters will discuss the unique challenges and opportunities associated with providing care for dually eligible individuals with I/DD across the lifespan. This webinar will focus on how health plans can use an integrated approach to better meet the needs of these individuals. Participants will learn about how physical, cognitive, and behavioral changes typical of the aging process manifest in someone with I/DD and what supports can be utilized to help respond to these changes.
