Event Description:
The 11th annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018. 1 in 4 adults age 65+ falls each year. This day is intended to increase awareness and educate others about fall prevention strategies. The National Council on Aging (NCOA) has resources, templates, and activity ideas for Falls Prevention Awareness Day. NCOA and partners will also be hosting a Facebook Live event on Thursday, September 20, 2018 and a Twitter chat on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
