Webinar: Alzheimer's and Wandering

Event Description:

The American Society on Aging (ASA) is hosting a webinar on Alzheimer's disease and wandering. Wandering is a significant issue for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and their loved ones. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, three of five people with Alzheimer’s disease will wander. If not found within 24 hours, up to half of individuals who wander will suffer serious injury or death. Register for this web seminar to learn how Home Instead Senior Care is extending its support to this important area of Alzheimer’s education through a new web service designed to help family caregivers locate individuals with a dementia illness who become lost. Presenter Lakelyn Hogan, Caregiver Advocate, Home Instead Senior Care, will share inforation about the risks of wandering and what families need to know, identify triggers for wandering, and offer insight into potentially life-saving solutions. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET. Registration is free and this webinar include complimentary CEUs.
