ReFraming Aging: Understanding and Changing the Way Americans Think about Aging - Conversations with GIA

Aging experts and the U.S. public do not share a common understanding of older adults, according to recent research by The FrameWorks Institute. This webinar is for all who are in interested in improving aging services and policies by providing insights for more effective communication. The research was commissioned by a group of eight national aging organizations including: AARP, American Federation for Aging Research, American Geriatrics Society, American Society on Aging, Gerontological Society of American, Grantmakers in Aging, National Council on Aging, and the National Hispanic Council on Aging.

Laura Robbins, Principal at LARC (Laura A. Robbins Consulting, LLC), will provide background and context for this research. Susan Nall Bales, President and Nat Kendall-Taylor, Vice President for Research at The FrameWorks Institute, will provide a summary of the research’s key findings. The webinar will conclude with a discussion of implications and next steps.
