The Executive Director will provide strategic, financial, operational, and advocacy leadership for P4A and its statewide network of AAAs. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the position will lead public policy initiatives, oversee organizational operations and financial sustainability, strengthen member engagement, and serve as P4A’s primary representative with policymakers, government agencies, partners, and the public.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic priorities and provide oversight of organizational performance.
  • Lead P4A’s public policy and advocacy efforts, including legislative and regulatory priorities and engagement with policymakers.
  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, organizational sustainability, and the pursuit and administration of grants and contracts.
  • Provide executive leadership and oversight of staff operations, performance management, and P4A’s two wholly owned subsidiaries.
  • Strengthen communication, coordination, training, and shared problem-solving across Pennsylvania’s statewide AAA network.
  • Represent P4A in statewide and national forums and develop partnerships with public and private stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

  • A master’s degree in business administration, public administration, social or behavioral sciences, public policy, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and executive leadership experience.
  • Six to eight years of senior leadership experience, including strategic planning, financial management, advocacy, and staff supervision.
  • Experience overseeing budgets and multi-source funding, including grants, contracts, and public funding.
  • Experience working with boards and membership organizations and knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting aging services and nonprofit operations.

This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid-remote position based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with regular statewide travel.
