The next virtual meeting of the Elder Justice Coordinating Council (EJCC) is scheduled for Thursday, June 8, and will address the importance of involving older adults in preparedness planning for disasters, emergencies, and pandemics. It will also discuss the future of the elder justice movement in preparation for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The EJCC convenes leaders from federal departments, agencies, and entities responsible for programs related to the abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of older adults.

FY 2024 SNF VBP Proposed Rule Overview

Event Description: 

On April 10, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a proposed rule for fiscal year (FY) 2024, outlining updates to Medicare payment policies and rates for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) under the Skilled Nursing Facility Prospective Payment System (SNF PPS). The rule also includes proposals for the SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) and the SNF Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program. CMS is publishing this proposed rule in accordance with legal requirements for annual updates to Medicare payment policies for SNFs.
