Ensuring People’s Rights, Choice, and Control in the Person-Centered Service Planning Process
CMS will hold a webinar on the person-centered service planning process, highlighting how states can ensure people’s rights, choice, and control.
The webinar will assist states by:
- Providing an overview of the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Final Rule requirements for informed consent and documenting modifications in the person-centered service plan;
- Highlighting promising practices for risk mitigation, dignity of risk, and ensuring the person’s informed choice and consent throughout the planning process; and
- Outlining resources states can use to ensure people understand their rights and have choice and control throughout all aspects of the planning process.
