The National Community Care Corps has released a request for proposals for innovative local programs in which volunteers provide nonmedical assistance to family caregivers, older adults or adults with disabilities ages 18 and older to maintain their independence.

Eligible organizations include non-profit community organizations, Area Agencies on Aging, aging and disability service providers, tribal entities, health systems, and more. Proposals must include one or more of the following focus areas:

  • Integrate principles of the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers
  • Support grandparent/kinship-led households
  • Expand virtual or low-tech access
  • Increase access to respite programs
  • Engage young adults for intergenerational connections

The grant period for this opportunity will be April 1, 2027 - September 30, 2028. Applications are due on Wednesday, January 6, at 5:00 p.m.
