The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is hiring a Contract Administrator to support the Division of Aging and Adult Protective Services (AAPS). This position leads the Division’s contract oversight and monitoring efforts for the State Unit on Aging (SUA), ensuring that Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) meet all state and federal requirements. The Contract Administrator serves as the division’s subject matter expert on contract compliance, reimbursement processes, and program integrity. The role also reviews and approves monthly AAA reimbursement requests, identifies trends or issues that may require further action, and provides recommendations to division leadership. This work supports the effective and compliant delivery of services funded through the Older Americans Act (OAA) and State Funding for Senior Services (SFSS) programs. This position is open only to Colorado state residents.

Minimum Qualifications:
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
- A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to seven (7) years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional acumen in interpreting federal and state regulations, contractual agreements and obligations, and legal documentation
- Experience overseeing monitoring and/or quality assurance activities for government-funded services
- Experience interpreting complex rules, regulations, and standards and applying the knowledge to specific situations
- Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate effectively with non-technical and technical audiences, verbally and in writing
- Previous experience working in local, state or federal government
- Experience with the State accounting system (CORE) and knowledge of State of Colorado Fiscal Rules
