Webinar on Rule Change to Make Grandparents and Other Relatives Eligible for Resources to Support Them in Caring for Children

Event Description:

On Tuesday, February 14, 2023 the Administration for Children and Families announced a proposal that will make it easier to licescene relatives to foster children when their parents are not able to care for them. The rule would allow more grandparents and other relatives to access financial assistance and other resources that are available to licensed foster homes. The rule would also allow child welfare agencies to create separate kinship caregiver licensing standards, making it easier for children to remain with their family members during difficult times.

ACF will be holding an information webinar on the rule on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET
