The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, State Unit on Aging Presents a free webinar on: Money Smart for Older Adults. Join experts from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for a free webinar introducing the new edition of Money Smart for Older Adults: Prevent Financial Exploitation (MSOA). Developed jointly by the CFPB and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, MSOA is a training and awareness program designed for older adults and family caregivers. Recent changes in this second edition include information on debt collection, the IRS agent imposter, and charity scams.

The session will also cover financial exploitation by a person with fiduciary authority, diminished capacity and the Managing Someone Else’s Money Guides.

Instructors: Jenefer Duane, Sr. Program Analyst and Naomi Karp, Senior Policy Analyst from the CFPB, Office for Older Americans.
