The National Center on Law & Elder Rights (NCLER) will host a webinar on Social Security retirement benefits. Over 50 million retired workers receive Social Security benefits each month, making up 75% of those receiving benefits from the Social Security Administration. Most people are familiar with Social Security retirement benefits, but many don’t understand the rules covering them. The webinar will cover how Social Security retirement benefits are calculated; reductions for claiming early and credits for delayed claiming; earnings test for those who continue to work after claiming early; interactions between early retirement and Social Security disability benefits; and interaction with Medicare benefits.
