Justice in Aging will hold a webinar on Justice in Aging’s Equitable Guardianship Reform issue brief series and analyze how ongoing reform efforts can be refocused to center equity and build better systems for everyone. Older adults who are members of marginalized communities may well be at increased risk of disability and guardianship due to a lifetime of discriminatory bias. The session will examine how the guardianship system, and the ongoing reform efforts within that system, might better address the needs of marginalized older adults. It will provide participants with clear recommendations they can then use to advocate for equitable change within their own state guardianship systems.
