Vascular Dementia: An Important Supporting Actor in the Story of Dementia

This webinar will provide an overview of the role of cerebrovascular disease in late-life cognitive impairment, including risk factors, prevention methods, and common misconceptions. During this event, participants will learn why diagnosis is difficult with vascular dementia and explore the challenges associated with understanding the role of vascular risk factors, stroke history and stroke imaging findings. Symptom management will also be discussed, including the similarities between managing symptoms of Alzheimer's disease and managing symptoms of vascular dementia.
