Suicide Prevention and Older Adults

The National Council on Aging's Center for Healthy Aging is hosting a webinar on suicide prevention for older adults. September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and this webinar is meant to recognize the event and call attention to this major issue. Presenters Kimberly Van Orden,University of Rochester Medical Center; Rosalyn Blogier, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration; and Christine Miara, Suicide Prevention Resource Center will highlight the risk factors for suicide among older adults and promising strategies for the prevention of suicide.
