SSI for Older Adults: Post Eligibility Tips

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) provides a very basic income to over 8.2 million people, including 2.2 million Americans age 65+. Getting access to SSI can help low-income older Americans escape deep poverty and avoid or move out of homelessness. This webinar from the National Center on Law and Elder Rights will cover the basics of the SSI program and benefits, describe eligibility criteria, provide an overview of the appeals processes, and offer tips for helping older adults maintain their eligibility for SSI.
